FDA Approves Digital Pill to Track Adherence

The FDA has recently approved a pill embedded with a sensor that tracks when a pill has been ingested.  The pill and sensor, called Abilify MyCite, is the first of its kind approved by the FDA.  In an NPR story about this milestone, Dr. Gellad discusses the benefits and concerns about the new pill, including the high cost of the pill and potential data breaches.
